Square Enix decided to make a game for the WiiWare service that would be high profile, and it was decided that the game would be a simulation game and, later in development, a Final Fantasy title.

- Download content for My Life as a King was released on April 1, 2008. This DLC offers new dungeons, races, buildings, and clothing. The pricing range for the content is 100 - 800 Wii Points. All DLC made available for the game was released on the same day; additional packs were not produced.
- There's Little King's Story, where you go on adventures, sort of manage troops, and kind of build your city. That one is on Wii and PS Vita, but is being redone (again?) in HD for PC at the moment. There was a PC game a long time ago, like back in the early 2000's where you built a city, attracted heroes to your town, sent them on quests.
